Top 10 skin care tips

Healthy skin is really one of the most important ingredients for beauty-enhancement. This article on skin care tips is an effort to bring the 10 best skin care tips to you. The list of skin care tips has been restricted to 10 because anything more that that would not only be difficult to remember, but also shadow the more important skin care tips. So let’s see what these top ten skin care tips are:
* Knowing your skin type is one of the most important skin care tip. This is important because not every skin care product suits everyone. In fact, all the skin care products specify the type of skin they cater too.
* ‘Drink a lot of water’. This will not keep your skin moist but will help in overall upkeep of your health (and in turn your skin). It might seem a bit awkward to some, however, this is an important skin care tip.
* Cleanse your skin regularly (1-2 times everyday). A very effective skin care tip that helps in getting rid of the dirt and other harsh elements from your skin. Cleansing is especially important when you have been out of your house (and hence exposed to pollutants, dust etc). This skin care tip also advocates the use of Luke warm water for cleansing (hot and cold water, both, cause damage to your skin)
* Be gentle, after all it’s your skin. Don’t scrub/exfoliate too hard or too often. Similarly, don’t apply too much or too many skin care products. A must-to-follow skin care tip.
* Keep your skin moist at all times. This is one of the most important skin care tip. Don’t let your skin get dry. Dryness causes the outer layer of your skin to break, leading to a rough and unattractive appearance. Use moisturisers/ emollients. Moisturisers work best when applied while the skin is still damp.
* Avoid the use of soap on your face. Soap should only be used from below the neck. A small but important skin care tip.
* Use sunscreen to protect yourself from sun’s harmful UV radiations. You can use day-time moisturisers that have sunscreen built into them. Use them even when it’s cloudy. UV radiations are known to cause skin cancer, so follow this skin care tip without fail.
* A bit of exercise and good sleep are essential too, not just for skin care but for your health as a whole. Lack of sleep can lead to formation of wrinkles below your eyes and lack of exercise can cause your skin to slack. Moreover, exercise and sleep also help in beating stress. So besides being a skin care tip, this is also a health care tip.
* Treat skin dilemmas with care. This skin care tip is about not ignoring any skin dilemmas. Consult your dermatologist before you go on to use a skin care product (lest you do end up harming your skin even more).
* Beat the stress. The harmful effects of stress are known to everyone, however, sometimes stating the obvious is essential too (and hence this skin care tip found its place here). Yes, stress harms skin too. So, take a break or indulge in a warm bubble bath or just get good sleep.

DO NOT Wear too much makeup!

The best tip to success with makeup is DO NOT wear too much! Most men love women who look good without it.

earing makeup can be fun! So use it, don't abuse it. Use your makeup to enhance the features on your face such as your eyes and your lips.

Foundation users, make sure you are using foundation that matches your skin color. Blend your foundation giving it a smooth look. For best results wash face and dry. Apply a small amount of foundation. Let dry for a 1-2 minutes, then apply a powder. As for your powder, use one that matches your skin color and don't use too much. Blend your powder well to make sure you have no traces showing of your foundation. It is common to have a line on the side of your face, get out a mirror and make sure yours looks good.

Now we will move to the subject of the lips. Use lip liner and use lipstick. The lip liner makes the lipstick look SEXY. Apply the lip liner onto the natural line of your lip. When applying it, start at the center of your upper lip and draw a line to each outer corner.

If you want your lipstick to stay longer, apply a small amount of your powder on your lips prior to applying the lipstick. When applying the lipstick stretch your lips and start at the center of lips and glide the it to each slide. You may then want to blot it with a tissue and reapply.

Lastly, we will give you some tips on applying eyeliner, mascara and eye shadow. For eyeliner users, use a small line. If you apply too thick of line, it will make you look overdone and will take the focus off the rest of your makeup. Don't forget the mascara.

Use it to enhance your eyes and your eyelashes. Make sure it is applied to the eyelashes smoothly and has no clumps. When it comes to eye shadows, the colors you choose are going to be completely on your and your style. If you are not sure at first, start out using the neutral colors like browns and tans.

You can apply some brown on your eyelid and use a lighter shade on the upper section of your eye. Experiment and blend two colors together to come up with something you think looks good on you.

So now you have some basic makeup tips, start practicing and soon you will find some looks that make you look great. Remember to limit your use of makeup because too much just might make you look silly.

Choose Foundation Wise

A lot of people are hesitant to wear foundation, or “base” as it’s sometimes called, because they’re afraid of an unnatural result. Yes, foundation can look like a mask, but only if you choose the wrong product or apply it incorrectly. Take the time to think through a foundation regime so that you achieve result that suit your skin and your lifestyle.
First, decide how much coverage you need. Sheer foundation- also known as light or natural coverage-provide a see – through wash of colour with only enough camouflaging power to hide minor imperfections. Moderate coverage is a good choice for those of us with some discoloration, a few acne scars, maybe some freckles, or broken blood vessels. It is good for covering burns, birthmarks, bruising, melasma, and scars.

It is important to consider your skin type. If you have dry skin, you should avoid oil-free and oil-absorbing make-up, which will give your skin a parched, flaky finish. Those of us with oily skin should avoid moisturizing make-ups that will make skin look slick and greasy and normal skin types should stick with a formula for normal skin. Most cosmetic companies make several types of foundation, each geared towards a different skin type. Look for clues on the product’s label or packaging. If you are having trouble deciphering foundation ingredients, ask a salesperson-they’re paid to help.
Make sure you choose a foundation suitable for your skin type.

When is Makeup Out Of Date?

True or false: Your makeup bag is jam-packed, and if you looked hard enough, you'd be able to dig out a lipstick from five years ago. If you answered true, it's time to purge! Old makeup isn't just a trend hazard, it can harbor bacteria that can compromise your skin and eye health. Read on for the basics on what to ditch when:

  • Eye makeup: Replace liquid products every six months; toss powder shadows and pencils after a year. If you get an eye infection, trash everything and start from scratch.

  • Mascara: Replace every three months.

  • Powder blush: Replace every year, or if you see flaking or clumping.

  • Loose powder: Replace every year.

  • Foundation and concealer: Replace every six months, or if the liquid separates or begins to smell funny.

  • Lipstick: Replace every two years, or if the color or smell changes, or you see oil beads on the sides of the lipstick bullet.

  • Nail polish: Throw away any polishes that have separated. (Keeping polish in the fridge doesn't prolong its life.)

The Perfect Smile

A great smile is something many people want. A great smile reflects inner beauty. The most common methods of teeth whitening are bleach, whitening toothpastes and whitening trays. Teeth bleaching should be done professionally at the dentist’s office.

Applying bleach on the teeth involves certain amounts of peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide, the active ingredient used in most teeth whitening kits can result in burns to the mouth. Keep in mind that the effects of whitening toothpaste are not permanent but are an wonderful choice for short-term prevention of discoloration and blot.

Using teeth whitening trays involve wearing custom-fitting plastic trays filled with bleaching medium over your teeth for a term of time. The more taint you have, the longer you’ll need to use the trays.

Beauty Tips For Smile

  • Start with a professional cleaning : and keep on a regular schedule. Floss daily: not only will daily flossing keep your teeth and gums healthy, flossing will remove minute plaque and stain that sometimes only show up in very bright light.
  • Great tip for models and beach -goers alike. Watch that shade: some lipstick colors can actually make your teeth appear more “yellow”.
  • Use toothpaste with baking soda and/or peroxide.
  • Use a toothpaste with fluoride as this makes the tooth more resistant to decay.
  • Don’t wear white: if your teeth are a yellowish shade.
